The Things They Say

For my own sake I wanted to take a minute to write down a few of the cute things my precious girls have said.. The other day Kennedy was asking me about some dried flowers I had. I was telling her that they were the flowers I carried on my wedding day. She said, "So is this the most important thing in our house?" I said, "No, you and Mika are!" She thought about it for a moment and then said, "Actually mommy, Jesus is the most important and then me and Mika." When Kennedy was 31/2 she started talking about Jesus and heaven...asking several questions such as when was Jesus coming and how were we going to get there...not the easiest task trying to explain these things to a 3 year old... I simply told her that when Jesus came in the clouds we would fly away with Him. She looked at me and said, " but mommy, I don't know how to fly!! We better get a carseat for Mika Moo so she won't fall." Some cute thins Mika has said... when she is sick she has a "rubby" nose and when I paint her fingernails she says, "look at my paintnails!" In the mornings she wants me to "under" her hair, which means curl it! I love it!

New Bikes!

Last weekend we decided to buy the girls new bikes. With the weather cooling off we have been spending more time outside riding bikes..etc...So we felt really bad that Mika is 31/2 and still riding a tricycle and Kennedy is 61/2 and was riding the bike she got when she turned 3...She looked like one of those circus clowns...So on Friday after school we surprised them and took them bike shopping. They were soo excited about their new bikes and that they didn't have to wait until Christmas to get them. We told them that on Sat. we could go to the school parking lot and they could have a big open space to ride. Well, at 6:30am Sat. morning they were ready to go despite our telling them it was too early. We finally caved at 7:00. The girls had already gotten themselves dressed... They picked out their own outfits, brushed their teeth and hair...Mika insisted on a side ponytail (Deb!) We then headed to the school where they rode and rode and rode!! Yes, Mika's shirt is on backwards, but she was so proud that she did it all by herself!!

The Best Girls Ever!

Today was a good day but it was kind of a long day. I was tired and did not want to try to conquer the mess in my house. It's funny how it can be picked up one minute and the next craziness occurs..My girls decided they were going to "clean" the house for me... They made their beds, picked up all the toys in the play room (huge job in itself), they moved all the chairs in the kitchen and while Kennedy swept the floor Mika mopped. They were busy little bees putting things away and cleaning...I was blown away that they would do all of that without being asked.. When they were all done I was telling them thanks and hugging and kissing them and my 3 year old said, " Mommy, it was our pleasure!" Do I have the best girls or what! I am truly blessed!

Mika's First Day of MDO

Today was Mika's first day of Preschool at our church. She was so excited! All ready for school! I was able to get a quick pic of her putting her backpack away. She is so big! Mika and her best friend Tegan after school! I am so happy they got to be in the same class. They both had a great day. Mika told me she wants to go to school everyday... I don't think I am ready for that. Tues and Thurs are good for now!
