Handy Manny Birthday

On Saturday we celebrated Andrew's 3rd birthday. This was actually the first birthday ever celebrated for him! We were in Russia last summer when he turned 2 but did not get to see him as his birthday fell on a weekend and we could not visit the orphanage... So he has had almost a full year to learn about birthdays! After a year of getting to know him we decided a "tool" party would be the perfect fit for him...He LOVES to fick (fix) things=)
He was excited about getting to use Pa's real tools to get the party set up!
 He's ready for work!
 The tool stations!
We had 4 big boxes that we made "repair" shops out of...just like Handy Manny!
All the kids worked really hard at painting the boxes!

 Hard at work!

The finished products.

We can't forget the back of the box!

 All done!
Opening presents...he is a pro after Christmas!
 Getting ready for cake!
 Pinata time!!

He had a great birthday with lots of fun! After all our family left..he and his sisters continued playing in the boxes! They played all afternoon, then the next day, and even slept in them!! Who says you need toys! A big box is alot of fun!

Birthday, swim lessons and VBS....

We got back from our vacation late Friday night...Andrew's birthday was on that Sunday, June 12th! So on his actual birthday I made a cake and we had a little cook out!! We had his birthday party the following weekend..

Andrew and Mika took a week of swim lessons! I am always amazed at how quickly they learn! I think they might be part fish=)

This same week we also had VBS at church...
Kennedy was in Red Rocks and Mika was in Hello Yellow! They had a blast!

Family Pictures!

Our last day at the beach we managed to get a few pictures together....

 My camera fogged up=(

More Vacation Pictures....

Day 3

This is what our snacks looked like after Andrew got to them! The sand didn't stop him from eating!
yummy!

My girls started digging a hole....
 They worked really hard....
I finally put up an umbrella for them because they just kept digging and digging.....
Look what team work gets you....A hole big enough for everyone to fit in!
That evening we went to Baytown Wharf...It is a cute little area with lots to do.
 Like....eat ice cream!
 Take fun pictures!
 Do a ropes course!
Kennedy walked the plank to ring the bell...I was just a bit nervous!
 Mika on her ropes course!
This statue was a real lady!! Crazy...it freaked Mika and Andrew out!
 Andrew on the fun carousel!
 Mika Mouse!
Key-Key!

Day 4

 Another day....another hole!
They were soooo proud of themselves!
This is what I did while Andrew was napping!!! Greatness!
At the end of the day they filled their hole back in!
This NEVER happens...my boy fell asleep sitting straight up! Long, fun days will do that to you!
At dinner my little Mika just couldn't stay awake any longer...
or Kennedy!
