Valentines Day

Several years ago when Kennedy was a baby we started celebrating Valentines by having a candlelight dinner at home..It has become a tradition now.. In fact.. just five years ago after our little dinner I went to the hospital and our little Mika joined us at 3:30 in the morning... sooo close to being a Valentines baby! Anyways, both girls look forward to our time togther. We have a big dinner complete with tablecloth, china, candles, real glasses, chocolate dipped strawberries and classical music.. We each take turns telling each member of the family 3 things we love about them.  Three things turn into 20! Such precious moments that I will always cherish.

Mika's Birthday!

On the 13th we had Mika's birthday party. This year she celebrated with one her bestest friends, Tegan. They are 5 days apart and have been friends since birth! They decided on a Hello Kitty party complete with a Hello Kitty pinate.
The birthday girls!
They got "Best Friends Forever" PJ's to wear for their little sleep over.
I wasn't brave enough for a big sleepover like Kennedy had.. maybe when she is older=)
All ready for bed! They were out by 9:00!

Father/Daughter Date Night

Every year our church host a Father/Daughter Date Night. Kennedy looks forward to this every year!

Michael had to work late so Kennedy and I met him at the church.
Here is daddy giving his sweet princess flowers.. He bought Mika some too.. Next year she will be old enough to join them.

They had a great night! Thank you Lake Pointe for putting this together...

Snow..In Texas!!

It actually snowed in Texas!! When we woke up on Thursday morning it was snowing and it snowed all day and stopped snowing sometime early Friday morning. We got around 11 inches of snow! I'm 34 and this is the first time I have seen this much snow.. in Texas! I took tons of pics but since I can't post that many, here are a few!

Michael and Kennedy attempting to build a snowman.. not as easy as you think it is! Where's Mika?
There she is! Inside! She wan't a big fan of the snow! She was happy to watch us play from inside!
Wait... is that Mika? Yes..outside in her piggy footie pajamas, boots, lightweight jacket, and mismatched gloves...This was later in the afternoon and Michael and I were upstairs and we heard the girls squealing and it sounded like it was coming from outside...this is what we found.. Mika decided to give the snow a try!
She likes it!
The next morning it looked like a winter wonderland outside!

Thank you God for the little surprises you give us!

Seussical, The Musical

The second grade class did their musical tonight... Seussical, The Musical! It was super cute! All the kids did such a great job! I tried to take pictures of Kennedy on stage but my camera isn't the best..so it didn't work.. But, here is Kennedy after the musical=)
