Gotta love those sisters!

This is what happens when his older sisters get ahold of him!!

Kennedy and Mika's Birthday!

February is the month of birthdays in our family!! Kennedy and Mika's birthdays are 8 days apart...well 3 years and 8 days to be exact. A couple of years ago we started something different. One year we do a big birthday celebration for each girl and the next year we do just a family birthday celebration and then our family goes to the Great Wold Lodge for a weekend. This year it is family birthday/GWL..We had planned on celebrating their birthdays last Friday...if you read the last post then you would know that was the day we had a ton of snow...Our families are spread out so there was no way that everyone was going to be able to make it to our house with all the icy bridges. So, we moved it to Sat. evening.....Uncle Chad and Aunt Stashia weren't going to be able to make it on Sat.. So since they live like 1 minute from us they went ahead and came over on Friday night...We grilled burgers and dogs in 13 degree weather and had a great time!

Luckily I had cookies on hand...it worked!

Then all the girls did a fashion show for us! They were soooo cute.
On Saturday all the other family made it over...Yes, I made the cake so don't laugh! We grilled out once again and had loads of more fun! Next weekend...Great Wolf Lodge!!

Snow Day!

Snow days in Texas? Last week all the DFW area schools closed for 4 days...unheard of around here! After last years big snow, my girls are starting to think this is a normal occurrence. We enjoyed our days off...The first few days it was just icy outside...so we didn't spend much time outdoors... instead we spent our days in our jammies, hanging out by the fire, playing the Wii...Super Mario Brothers is very addicting!! Every night we had a family movie night. Andrew started thinking this was a new part of our bedtime routine. Sunday night when I was walking him up the stairs to go to bed he looked at me and said, " movie mama, popcorn! " He was disappointed that it was just regular ole bedtime. Our last snow day was Friday. We got so much snow...that day we spent lots of time outside! We even went sledding.

My precious babies!
Andrew was funny... he went right outside, layed down in the snow face first, stuck is face in the snow and got a big mouthful of snow!

Here we are getting ready to go sledding...luckily we had one small sled that we purchased back in 2003 on our ski trip to Park Cities...I had considered getting rid of it several times...it lived in our attic for years...finally it gets some use...our other "sled" was a lid from a plastic container...
Andrew and Cru flying down the hill...you could hear Andrew screaming "again, again" before he ever made it to the bottom!
We stayed at the park for at least 2 hours if not longer...then everyone was frozen like a Popsicle and it was time to go home and warm up. Us Texans don't exactly have all the right clothing for this type of weather. Our shoes were soaked! The funny thing is.. I have a ski jacket...I got it out for the first time since....2003, how do I know the year? Well, because my lift ticket from skiing was still attached to the zipper!

Finally-Christmas Pics!

I have a billion pictures from Christmas but I thought I would share just a few! It was Andrew's first Christmas. He can rip presents open with the best of them now! We spent Christmas Eve and day with Michael's family this year.
Andrew opening his stocking from MiMi and PaPa
Andrew and Cru "playing" with his new tractor!
Mika was soooo excited about getting a walking dog!
Getting ready for bed all snug in their new jammies.
 How cute are they?
Kennedy has been asking for piano lessons....I am going to do my best to teach her...check back on that one later!
Wow... my boy was in heaven with his little four wheeler....he hasn't learned how to turn it yet but he loves it anyway..
Christmas dinner...is this the cutest little table of boys or what?

December Fun!

Surprise, surprise!!! I am really behind on my blog!! I have a good excuse though...our computer crashed mid-Dec.  We finally got a new computer and even though it's January and Christmas has come and gone I am still going to post pics from all the festivities!
We made homemade Christmas ornaments... the kids had the best time!!
Andrew picked the star and even picked the color!
Random picture here..we were on our way to church and Andrew kept pointing to the floor and saying, "eyes! eyes!" It took me a second to realize he wanted the sunglasses!!!
My sister thought it would be fun to ride the dart train downtown to look at the Neiman Marcus window display...sounded fun to me!! The kids were excited about the adventure.
On the train and ready to go! This train ride was fun compared to our last train ride(St. Petersburg to Moscow!) Andrew loved it this time!
 Exploring downtown....glad I had Andrew's Monkey leash!
The Neimans window display was really awesome...it's like a maze you go through and it starts on the outside of the building but then leads you into the store...Really cool!
Time to go!
The next day we met some of Michael's family at the Gaylord to check out the scenery!
The kids had an awesome time exploring!
 Mika and Callie
Our attempt at a family picture.
I had to post this picture.. because anyone that has been around Andrew knows he loves outside...doors...it doesn't matter where we go...he finds the doors in a matter of seconds!! Luckily this door only led to storage!
