Fun Friday

Today was a fun day! It started off with Muffins for Mom at Kennedy's school and then her class surprised the moms who volunteer in the 1st grade class with a volunteer appreciation! They were so cute! Then it was off to Firewheel Mall with Rae and her kids for a little shopping, lunch, fun times at the fountain and ice cream. Poor Mika was so tired by the time we picked Kennedy up from school. Anybody who knows Mika knows she is a homebody and would rather stay home! While I was cooking dinner she laid down in the middle of the kithchen floor with her blanket and pillow and almost fell asleep... but our day wasn't over...The girls and I went to Jake's T-ball game.
Isn't Jake so cute? He did such a great job! He even slid into home and got his white pants nice and dirty for his mom!!
The girls didn't really watch the game but they had fun playing! And the day is done!

Pictures of the Girls

I took the girls to the park to attempt to get some updated pictures to send in to the agency. It was very hard to keep them focused... they wanted to play! Don't worry.. they got to play! I really wanted to get a pic. of the two of them together but Mika refused to take a picture with Kennedy. She only wanted pictures by herself.... maybe next time.

Mothers Day Brunch

Ok, So I haven't blogged in months...so here is my attempt at it again! Since I'm not homeless
and I'm finally moved into our new house I don't really have an excuse to not blog...
This is me and Mika at her school for a Mothers Day Brunch.

November!

My cousin Aaron got married! The wedding was in Indiana...It was a long trip but the kids did great!! The wedding was beautiful and so much fun.
Mika only made it through half of the reception before she fell asleep.. I'm not sure how she was able to sleep since the music was soooo loud!
So we sold our house in early November and found a house to buy. We were so excited about moving and the day before we were supposed to close on both houses we got a call from the bank telling us that the house we were buying was in a high level flood zone. We needed to bring a lot of extra money to closing to purchase flood insurance! This was news to everyone involved including the owners of the house.. Very long story short... A little creek runs behind our "new" house and FEMA designated everyone on the street to be in a high level flood zone..It is not accurate but you have to jump through hoops to get it corrected... So, we are homeless for the moment until they get it fixed. We love the house so much so we are willing to wait.. It could take 30-60 days... we are praying for 30. We have been staying with my parents ande Michaels parents.. Being homeless is starting to take a toll on everyone.
The front of my "new" house
This is the back yard.. looks like a flood zone huh?? There is a creek but there is no water in it plus there is a 10ft retaining wall...FEMA, FEMA, FEMA!!!
